Santa’s Little Fetchers

By December 3, 2018News

Fetchit and Santa’s Little Fetchers would like to send a huge THANK YOU! to all of the people who donated toys this Christmas. Together we collected an impressive amount of toys, games and cuddly toys for children. The Fetchit team delivered these wonderful gifts to the Dar Merhba Bik Foundation on Christmas Eve who distributed them to families less fortunate.

Father Christmas is probably the most hard working courier in the world – even if he only delivers once a year! This year Fetchit, in association with Time To Eat, is getting into the Christmas spirit by organizing a Toy Run for charity. We call this initiative Santa’s Little Fetchers.

The idea is simple: Use our on-demand courier service to pick-up old toys you no longer use and deliver them to children in need.

Who are you donating toys to?
Fetchit will donate all toys to the Dar Merhba Bik Foundation, a charity focussed on supporting victims of domestic violence and their children.

Why old toys? Can’t I donate something new?
At Fetchit, we value the environment and always seek to provide an environmentally justified solution. New toys are great, but it also means more plastic is produced and eventually more waste which is not great. By donating your old toys, you are upcycling (recycling for an alternative use). Plus, if you have children already, you know that their toy chest fills up as fast as their attention span, so this is an opportunity to free up some space.

How do I donate something?
Donating your toy(s) is very simple. Just sign-up on the Fetchit platform and fill in the details. To make sure this operation is as effective and efficient as possible, we will pick-up donations on specific days and times from specific geographical zones of Malta.

Pick-ups 10-21st Dec
Monday – NORTH
Tues-Wed – CENTRAL
Thurs-Fri – SOUTH

Please make sure you place your booking at least 24 hours before pick-up. For more information about booking a pick-up, please read the Fetchit Christmas Toy Run Booking Guidelines.

Fetchit is a paid service – How much will it cost me to donate something?
Yes, Fetchit is a paid service, but it’s Christmas and this project is for a charitable cause so all donation pick-ups are free!

When does the charity, Dar Merhba Bik, receive the donations?
Fetchit will deliver the toys to the Dar Merhba Bik Foundation on Christmas Eve.

So, hopefully this project is something that inspires you to get involved and donate. This year Father Christmas won’t be the only courier delivering presents, Santa’s Little Fetchers will be there to provide a helping hand too.
